Worker whose manhood was severed in industrial accident undergoes eight-hour surgery

Surgeons at Southmead Hospital have been battling to save a man’s life after his penis was severed in a freak industrial accident. The man is understood to still be under heavy sedation days after the incident, which happened on Monday afternoon. The man, who has not been named, underwent an eight-hour operation at the Bristol Hospital on Monday, according to a family member. And a family member has also claimed his penis was understood to be severed by some sort of saw. Ambulance staff were called to a company in the village of Moreton Valence, near Stonehouse in Gloucestershire, at around 3.48pm to a man with a serious groin injury.The man, who is believed to be from Gloucester, remains in a serious condition in hospital following the operation. And investigations have begun into how the industrial accident happened. Kaduna Government gets bench warrant to arrest Northern youths against Igbo Quit Notice

                                                Nasir El Rufai Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El Rufai, has obtained a bench warrant from the court to arrest the northern leaders who signed the October 1st, 2017, quit notice given to the Igbos despite the withdrawal of the notice. A coalition of Northern groups, including the Arewa youth Consultative Forum led by Shettima Yerima, had in July given all Igbos in the Northern state a three – month ultimatum to quit or be forced out after expiration of the notice. The declaration was signed by Nastura Ashir Sharif (Arewa Citizens Action for Change); Ambassador Shettima Yerima (Arewa Youth Consultative Forum); Aminu Adam (Arewa Youth Development Foundation); Alfred Solomon (Arewa Students Forum); and Abdul-Azeez Suleiman (Northern Emancipation Network) as well as Joshua Viashman (Northern Youth Vanguard). Okorocha is a big liar, says ex-President

The former president said he never asked for Okorocha's help to win the 2015 presidential election. Former President Goodluck Jonathan has dismissed the recent statement by Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, that he tried to win him over ahead of the 2015 presidential election with huge sums of money. The governor had said that the former president had tried to lure him to the  People's Democratic Party (PDP)  ahead of his reelection bid that he eventually lost to  President Muhammadu Buhari. According to a statement signed by the former president's Media Adviser,  Ikechukwu  Eze , he never had any conversation with Okorocha about dumping the  All Progressives Congress (APC)  to help him in his reelection bid. Former President Goodluck Jonathan has declared that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) is still the strongest that the country has to offer. While addressing a delegation of former Speakers of House of Assemblies in his  Abuja  office on Thursday, September 29, 2017, the former president said the party is the strongest despite losing the 2015 presidential elections to the ruling  All Progressives' Congress (APC). He said the PDP performed well during its 16-year rule, saying the party helped the country with a  "number of reforms it introduced and implemented." Suicide bomber blows up self in Kabul

A suicide bomber blew himself up outside a Shiite mosque in Kabul on Friday, police said, as Muslims prepare to celebrate one of the holiest dates in the Islamic calendar. “A suicide bomber who was grazing sheep has detonated himself outside” the mosque, General Salim Almas, criminal investigative director of Kabul city, told AFP. Almas did not have any information about casualties.

Adeniyi is the Officer-in-Charge of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Zamfara State Police Command. Adeniyi and his family were travelling back to Zamfara from Kaduna on Wednesday when the gun-trotting men flagged down their Toyota Hilux. The gang reportedly dragged them from the vehicle and whisked them away in another vehicle. The identities of the family members had yet to be ascertained. Tom Price, President  Donald Trump ’s secretary of Health and Human Services, resigned from his post today after it was revealed that he had repeatedly chartered private planes for government travel. "Secretary of Health and Human Services Thomas Price offered his resignation earlier today and the president accepted," read a statement from White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, adding that Trump intends to designate Don Wright, the current deputy assistant secretary for health and director of the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion as acting secretary. Mail photos The friend of a top university student who jumped to her death from the Clifton Suspension Bridge discussed ways to kill themselves, an inquest heard on Friday. “Extremely bright” Lara Nosiru, 23, had taken a large number of sleeping tablets and some LSD when she jumped off Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, the coroner has concluded. She was a final year student of neuroscience at the Bristol University when the incident happened, reports say. She went there with fellow Bristol University student, Kasumi Kishi, who told police she had hoped to convince her not to kill herself.  Two days later, Ms Kishi told friends over a pizza how she and Ms Nosiru had discussed suicide methods and killing themselves together. Bayern Munich have sacked coach Carlo Ancelotti in the wake of their Champions League defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain, the club announced on Thursday. “FC Bayern Munich have parted company with head coach Carlo Ancelotti as a result of internal discussions following the 3-0 defeat in the Champions League group stage match at Paris Saint-Germain,” Bayern said in a statement on their website. Former player Willy Sagnol, the ex-France international who had been serving as an assistant to Ancelotti, has been named interim coach. The Kaduna State Government on Thursday said it has obtained a bench warrant from the court to arrest members of the Coalition of Northern Youths that gave October 1, 2017 as deadline for Ndigbo in the north to quit or be forced out of the region. This was despite the withdrawal of the quit notice by the group. A coalition of Northern groups, including the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum led by Shettima Yerima had, in July, given all Igbo resident in the 19 Northern states a three-month ultimatum to quit or be forced out after the expiration of the October 1, 2017 deadline. They also asked all Northerners resident in the southeast to be prepared to return home (north). Fayose claims that God has destined him to lead Nigeria by 2019

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State says  God has destined him to lead Nigeria. Fayose, who spoke in Abuja on Thursday at his declaration to be the presidential candidate of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party in 2019,  also promised to fight corruption if elected. He said he remained the best candidate of the party having defeated two incumbent governors in his state. EFCC arrests Ekiti’s finance commissioner, accountant-general at Fayose’s declaration for presidency

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said it has arrested Ekiti State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Toyin Ojo; and the Accountant General, Mrs. Oluyemisi Owolabi. They were arrested on Thursday in Abuja at Governor Ayodele Fayose’s declaration of his desire to run for president in 2019. The ceremony, held at the Chelsea Hotel in Garki, Abuja, was attended by a former deputy governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore; and a former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode.
